Maisie Williams’s Bleached Brows Make an Appearance at the Met Gala 2021

Maisie Williams has been a proud member of the bleached eyebrow club since April, and who can blame her? The edgy trend is a fun way to switch up your brows and whole look. Her platinum blonde brows made their red carpet debut back in May at the 2021 Brit Awards. And they are back on the red carpet again, but this time for the 2021 Met Gala.

Her bleached brows fit in perfectly with her all-black look and dark makeup. She truly looks like she belongs on the set of a Tim Burton film with this moment. Her bleached brows practically disappear on her face, forcing you to focus on her smoked-out eye makeup and a plum lip.

A light olive shade was slightly smoked out on her eyes with a super-thin cat-eye that extends well into her inner corner. Right below the waterline on each eye sits a sole black gem with no other pigment. A plum semi-matte lipstick sits on her lips, completing the grunge vibe of this look.

To complement the makeup, her hair was fashioned into an interesting gravity-defying updo. This hair looks sleek and shiny from root to tip, almost as if it had been saturated in oil. It was arranged in various loops and swoops around her head, extending outward on either side. On the right side, it almost looks like her hair was frozen into deep waves mid-air. A sole curled strand falls from the updo to lay on her forehead.

Even when you’re not at the Met Gala, bleached eyebrows certainly make an entrance. We love how Williams paired hers with dark makeup that elevated the grunge vibe for a red carpet appearance.
