Whaleback Mountain in Enfield, New Hampshire is one of the most defining features of the New Hampshire I-89 route, yet it remains an under-the-radar gem. After being saved in 2013 by converting to being a non-profit organization, multiple improvements have been made to enhance the mountain experience. These include a new T-bar, lodge improvements, and making season passes more affordable for the locals. A new Executive Director, Jon Hunt, was appointed this past spring. With this leadership change, new plans and actual changes are happening to enhance the brand and mountain experience. On Monday,  a new logo was unveiled, along with a partnership with Dartmouth Skiway that allows Whaleback pass holders to get 50% off ticket prices at the Skiway.

Whaleback Mountain is located directly off I-89 in Enfield, New Hampshire, and features thirty trails, four lifts(one chairlift), seven hundred feet of vertical, and a wide range of terrain that can please any skier or rider. Dartmouth Skiway, located up the road in Lyme, New Hampshire, also has thirty runs, two lifts, a massive base lodge, and hosts Dartmouth College’s notorious Winter Carnival. Whaleback unveiled its five-year plan this summer, which you can view below.
