Symone From ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Wears All Gold to the 2021 Met Gala

By now, you should know that we here at Allure are some major RuPaul’s Drag Race fans. We’re talking major. Through the pandemic, the show has really been a much-needed injection of joy at a time when quite frankly, lots of things in the world seemed bleak.

So you can imagine our absolute delight to see Drag Race season 13 winner Symone on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art this evening for the 2021 Met Gala, cosplaying as a trophy. OK, maybe not actually, but Miss Thing looked like an absolute winner in this beaded fringe gold floor-length column dress by Moschino.

The hair was quintessential Symone, with super structured, crispy-looking giant curls and ringlets encircling her head, very much resembling a halo. For makeup, she did pencil-thin brows and lots of gold eye shadow that blends in the outer corners out into an absolute smoke show. Her lips are outlined in a deep brown color, with metallic gold lipstick to bring the entire ensemble together.

Here’s to seeing more drag queens at the Met Gala! Symone looks absolutely amazing and at home here.
